Privacy policy
Last updated on 6 September 2026. This covers this website. Each of my products has its own policy on its own site.
Who is responsible
Robot Studios IT Consultancy BV, Hemelshoek 277, 2590 Berlaar, Belgium, enterprise number 0732.991.584, is the data controller for this website. It's my company. For any question about your data, mail mattias@robotstudios.be.
What this website collects
There's no analytics on robotstudios.be. No Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no heatmaps, no advertising, no tracking scripts of any kind, and no cookie banner, because there's nothing to ask your consent for. The site loads no third-party JavaScript at all.
Two things do get recorded, and I'd rather spell them out than pretend otherwise:
- Web server logs. The server records the requested URL, the response code, your IP address, the referring page and your browser's user agent. That's there so I can debug a problem and spot abuse. The logs rotate and are gone after 14 days.
- A session cookie. The framework behind this site sets a functional session cookie and a CSRF token. Neither holds personal data, neither is used to profile you, neither goes anywhere else, and both expire after two hours.
Mail you send me
If you mail me, I keep the message and the address it came from for as long as I need it to answer you and to have a record of the conversation. I use it to reply. That's it. Your address is never sold, rented, or added to a mailing list you didn't ask for.
Who I share it with
Nobody, beyond the two suppliers it takes to run this: the hosting provider that stores the logs above, and the mail provider. I don't sell personal data, and I've never had a reason to hand any of it to a third party.
Where the data lives
This website, its logs and the mail are all hosted in the European Union.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, or object to me processing it at all. Mail mattias@robotstudios.be and you'll get an answer well inside the 30 days the law gives me. If you think I've handled your data badly, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority at dataprotectionauthority.be.
Links to other websites
This site links out to my products and to a handful of other places. The moment you follow one of those links, that site's privacy policy applies and this one doesn't.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. I don't backdate it.
